When you are added to LinkedIn Learning for the first time, you will receive an e-mail informing you that you have been assigned training on LinkedIn Learning.
Once you do, you'll see the following page. Click the blue "Continue to Christopher Newport University" button.
If you're not signed in, you'll see the standard CNU Connect sign in page. Sign in with your normal CNU username and password.
Next, you'll be asked whether you want to connect a LinkedIn account.
If you already have a LinkedIn account, you may want to connect it by clicking on the blue button on the top and signing in to LinkedIn, so you can display training that you complete on your LinkedIn page. Otherwise, you can click Continue without LinkedIn, and Don't Connect My Account. You can always connect your LinkedIn account later if you change your mind.
You'll then be taken to the course. Click Start Learning Path to begin.
Then, click the course name.
The course will start. You must watch ALL videos in the course and take the quizzes in order to get credit for completing the course.
Common Questions
I get a message saying I don't have LinkedIn Learning.
Make sure you're signed out of LinkedIn, then you click the link and sign in to your Christopher Newport University Account.
I get a different institution sign in page.
Click the Start Over link.
Enter your Christopher Newport University e-mail address.
You should be taken to the continue screen.
Does this mean we now have LinkedIn Learning?
Yes! All Christopher Newport University faculty, staff, and students now have full access to LinkedIn Learning. Right now, we are only using it for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training and will be taking a phased approach to additional uses. Watch your e-mail for more updates.
