Logging On
Tap the Start button to login.
Next, you'll be prompted for the cashier PIN. Enter the PIN and you'll automatically be logged in.
Accepting Meal Plans
Make sure that the MRD5 reader is powered on first. Simply hold the power button for a few seconds until you hear an ascending tone and the indicator light turns green. The indicator light will turn off after a few moments, and only the power button light will remain on.
Tap on the "Meal Plan (Regular)" option.
Wait for the app to connect to the reader. The reader's indicator light will flash blue then pink when it first connects.
Once connected, the app will display a message, "Swipe a card to start transaction". This screen also shows the connected reader name and battery status.
Tap a card to the MRD5 reader and it will flash green on a successful card read.
If accepted, the app will show "Valid" and how many regular meals that the customer has remaining in the current period.
If denied, the app will show "Denied" and provide a reason why. In this case, "Period Used" means that all available meals for the current period have been used up.
Once you've received a "Valid" or "Denied" message, you can move on to the next customer.
Troubleshooting
- If the App does not connect to the reader, turn the reader off and back on, then log out of the app and log back in.
