What is Grid/Tiled View?

Grid View is an alternative view in Google Meet allowing you to view all participants simultaneously. The cameras or profile pictures of all the participants are arrayed in a grid in the center screen of Google Meet.

How can I get Grid View?

Grid view is not a built-in feature of Google Meet, but can be added to it via a Chrome Browser extension. You can download this extension to your browser here

This limits accessibility of this feature to users who are operating the Chrome browser. Users who do not use Chrome or are using Meet on mobile devices will not have access to Grid View.

Activating Grid View

After downloading the option to turn on Grid View is available as a button at the top right of the Google Meet browser tab, next to the chatbox and participants list.

Clicking on this button will open up a menu with additional options that come with Grid View, such as filtering out participants not showing video, having the grid highlight speakers, and choosing whether you are included in the grid.
