NOTE: This article covers changing your password if you already know the password. If you need to reset your password, this article will help.
Christopher Newport University requires all users to change their password every 90 days. The password must meet the following requirements:
- The password must be 8 characters or longer
- The password must include 3 of the following:
- Uppercase letters
- Lowercase letters
- Numbers
- Special characters (!,#,@,etc.)
- The password cannot be one of the 24 passwords you've used previously
To change your Connect password, go to namescape.cnu.edu, or click the password reset link on the sign-in page.
Click on "Change my Password".
You'll log in with your existing CNU ID number and password.
Enter your new password. You'll get an idea of the strength of the password in the box at the bottom. Then, re-enter the password and click Submit to change it.
